I love Bitwarden, it's a simple, nifty little tool. I've used LastPass and 1Password before, but Bitwarden is a refreshing, indie option that I absolutely adore. Top-notch Password Management with Bitwarden
I have never used other password managers, but I believe Bitwarden is the best. I am currently subscribed to their premium plan, which costs $1 per year, significantly cheaper than most proprietary password managers. I appreciate Bitwarden for its open-source software, unlimited password storage even on the free plan, ability to generate TOTP directly from the app/extension, FIDO2 security key support, and its feature to check for weak passwords and data breaches.

I transitioned from LastPass, which started charging, to Bitwarden that offers similar features for free. However, Bitwarden is not as user-friendly. It syncs passwords across my Windows and Android devices and simplifies the creation of new passwords. It's secured on Android by fingerprint. Yet, I occasionally encounter multiple entries for the same site, the site name copied by Bitwarden is not always correct, and it doesn't always auto-fill. I moved to Bitwarden because LastPass began charging for use on multiple operating systems.

I began using Bitwarden after switching from LastPass. The experience has been straightforward and excellent, with no issues encountered. After using the free version across multiple devices and for numerous passwords, I decided to support the company financially and take advantage of premium features like TOTP and emergency access from contacts. At $1 a year, it's less than $1 a month and well worth it. Using the TOTP feature is smooth and convenient. I highly recommend it.

Great Concept, Poor Implementation
I appreciate opensource and Bitwarden is a great concept, but its implementation is disappointing. The clients, such as the Firefox extension and iOS app, are minimally functional despite having almost half of the features of other established commercial password managers. It feels like they do a few things, but poorly. The entire operation seems casual and is treated as voluntary work, even though they have paying customers like myself. Bugs remain unresolved for years, they linger on GitHub for months and are closed without any explanation.
