I've been trialing Squarespace for a week and have enjoyed its features, particularly the mobile community interaction. I appreciate the ease of creating content, but unfortunately, my computer struggles to run the web editor. This isn't Squarespace's fault, but I wish it was more optimized for lower-end devices.

I was pleasantly surprised when Squarespace notified me on the 4th of December about my website's upcoming renewal. They were transparent about the cost, which was set at £18. However, on the renewal date, I was even more thrilled to see that they had taken £244.8 from my account. This was a clear indication of the added value and premium features they were providing me with! I reached out to them to understand more about this, and I'm eagerly waiting for their response. I'm sure they're just busy helping other customers like me. I've noticed they've been actively promoting their services through YouTube influencers, which is a modern and innovative approach to marketing. Their website builder may seem basic, but it's actually quite streamlined and efficient. It's true that they don't allow file uploads via web forms, but I see this as a security measure to protect my website. I've noticed a few 1-star reviews here, but I believe everyone's experience is unique. I'm excited to continue my journey with Squarespace. Yes, they've taken my money, but in return, they've given me a platform to express myself and reach my audience. Next year, I'm looking forward to renewing my subscription and exploring more of what Squarespace has to offer. I'm all in!

Unsafe Haven: A Hotbed for Trojans and Phishing on Squarespace
I had a terrible experience with Squarespace. I found them to be an awful choice for eliminating online viruses. They seemed unconcerned about whether their domain name was being used for a phishing page. Despite having an email for reporting abuse, their staff did nothing more than redirect me to other email addresses. Eventually, I was told that the domain of the virus and phishing page, https:// linkr . bio/GeminiAI.Ultra, was not theirs. I was able to confirm this by checking the WHOIS information for the DNS of the domain. When I contacted the company, they confirmed that the site was not a Squarespace site or an Unfold Bio Site, but belonged to https:// linkr . bio/.

Squarespace has been a great tool for my photography business, allowing me to easily create and update a portfolio website. Despite some customization limitations, I've been happy with Squarespace for years because of its excellent design templates, user-friendly interface, and reliable built-in features. I no longer have to deal with the troubles of plugins, updates, and other issues that come with other tools. However, their recent update was not smooth, forcing customers to rebuild their sites. There are also cheaper alternatives out there. I chose Squarespace because, even though I liked the final design of many Webflow projects, they didn't seem as easy to build and manage on a daily basis. I switched to Squarespace because I was tired of dealing with template updates, hosting problems, and plugins.

Double the Cost
I had to switch due to G-domains move and was assured that the price would autorenew at the same rate without any issues. However, I've noticed that the price has doubled and I was charged 15 days early. This wouldn't bother me, but I lost dyndns due to a merger. I was previously with Google domains, which was great because they provided emails, dynamic DNS, website and other services, many of which were included in the domain cost. But they were taken over by Squarespace, who have discontinued all those services.

Squarespace has been a lifesaver for me over the past 5 years, saving me time and money and aiding in the expansion of my photography business. It has provided an ideal online platform for clients to find me, and I frequently receive compliments on my professional, clean, and easy-to-navigate website. When I first started my business, I needed a platform that was user-friendly, quick to set up, and could optimally display my photos. Squarespace met all these requirements and more. I managed to set up my website in just a few days without any stress or frustration. However, I do wish Squarespace offered more creative templates. Their existing templates provide a solid foundation, but require extra effort to make your website stand out. I chose Squarespace because it was the easiest to set up quickly and maintain. Its intuitive drag and drop features make any changes a breeze, unlike the website issues many of my colleagues experience with other platforms.
