I used to work for a company that had a B2B e-commerce website, but we decided to start a second e-commerce site that was more B2C focused. We chose BigCommerce because it could cater to the different needs of our B2C customers. We were able to set it up quickly and it provided accurate shipping and product option costs. I liked the flexibility of building product pages, the automatic pricing adjustments for different product options, and the import/export functions for updating large inventories. The initial setup was a bit confusing, but their customer service was excellent and always ready to help. We chose BigCommerce for its affordable yearly costs and comprehensive setup options. We were also planning to open a second location, which would complicate shipping and tax implications, so BigCommerce offered the best value for the functionality available. We switched from Volusion because we needed an easy-to-manage platform that all departments could learn, and one that didn't require a developer to manage the setup and design.

Overall Satisfaction with BigCommerce
Overall, I'm pleased with BigCommerce. I value the creative freedom it provides and its easy navigation. I especially appreciate the Quickbooks integration for payment processing, a feature Shopify lacked when I launched my online store. However, I wish I could add locations to invoices and permanently sort item order. While there was a learning curve, I'm now quite comfortable using BigCommerce. I primarily chose it for its Quickbooks integration and switched from OpenCart due to its limited functions.
