We initially found it to be a great addition when we only required phone/fax services. Ringcentral offers a high-quality soft phone service with a lot of options and a low entry barrier, a significant improvement from our previous system that lacked soft phone capabilities. The call quality is consistently excellent and both peer-to-peer and peer-to-client communications are straightforward. However, setting up the initial IVR for our company was a lengthy process and we had to hire an external party to create our entire workflow as the built-in functionality didn't meet our needs. We also wanted a custom API hook for new calls, but it took over six months to get this built in. We switched to RingCentral MVP from our previous plan with Mitel, which didn't include softphones.
