Twilio is generally user-friendly with well-documented APIs and forms a crucial part of our company's infrastructure. Initially, we received great support from our salesperson, who even involved engineers in our discussions. However, the contract was not explained well and we were given false promises. After signing a volume deal, the sales support vanished and we felt stuck in the contract. We eventually got a refund and terminated the contract, but it was a long and complex process. We chose Twilio because they are market leaders with a developer-focused offering.

Cost-Effective SMS Messaging Seamlessly Integrated with Chili Piper and Marketo Engage
My experience with Twilio has been largely positive. I find it to be an extremely affordable option for sending individual SMS meeting reminders in conjunction with Chili Piper, which has helped boost the attendance rates for appointments set by our sales team. It also enables us to send individual SMS marketing messages via Marketo Engage. However, it lacks 2-way, bi-directional texting capabilities when prospects respond to our meeting reminders or marketing messages. I primarily chose Twilio for its pricing commitment and switched to it from Skipio, a subscription-based Texting-CRM platform with a significant monthly commitment.

I use Twilio to manage all inbound calls for my website. I had to go through a lengthy setup process to transfer a vanity 800 number from another provider to Twilio, which involved numerous customer service calls. However, once set up, it requires little maintenance and allows for easy minor changes. Now, when customers call, they can choose from an option tree to troubleshoot their issue or opt to speak to an agent. If it's during business hours, the call gets forwarded to my cell, otherwise, they reach my voicemail. I also have Twilio embedded in my website for a chat option, which is popular among users. Twilio offers a wide range of options and can handle any call center-related task. It allows for the setup of automated systems, call recording and transcription, and even a call center setup. It also offers add-ons from GitHub and integration into websites, particularly Shopify. It allows for call answering with a number that can be ported or provided by them, including local and 800.
